SMOKY MOUNTAINS – PORTERS CREEK TRAIL
For the last stop on our road trip, we decided to go to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park for a hike. We swung by one of the Visitor Centers to ask for a recommendation. The Porters Creek Trail was the best choice for the amount of time we had. The trail is a bit under 4 miles roundtrip and wasn’t crowded when we were there. At the 2 mile turnaround point, there is a nice little waterfall, Fern Branch Falls. It was a beautiful hike and very peaceful along the creek.
