Overalls: Forever 21 / Shoes: Kate Spade / Kimono: Target / Clutch: Olivia + Joy / Earrings: J.Crew Factory (try these) / Bracelet: Nordstrom (try these) / Sunnies: purchased in Germany

I never thought I would own another pair of shortalls after grade school, but as a romper/jumpsuit lover, it wasn’t that far of a stretch to give their resurgence a try. For Coachella, they were perfect, but then what? As someone in her late 20s, I have found that the best way to wear shortalls in daily life is to use them as a base piece and then layer to create some balance so that the shortalls aren’t the main focal point of the outfit. For my layering, I chose a colorful kimono that has some fun fringe at the bottom. It also does not wrinkle easily which would make this outfit great for traveling.
