Dublin Castle: The Record Tower is the only portion of the Castle that has survived since the original medieval fortress. Grabbing a pint at the Guiness Storehouse. It REALLY does taste
Enjoying the view from the Gravity Bar at the Guiness Storehouse.
Billy’s gifts from the Guiness Storehouse, engraved glasses. We went on a day trip with Paddywagon Tours. The guide was great and covered a wide variety of topics from history to the current economy. Did you know that Ireland is one of the biggest exporters of pharmeceuticals in the world? The Burren and Galway Bay, aka limestone for days. The mini-cliffs on the way to the Cliffs of Moher. The Cliffs of Moher: Glorious even on a blustery day (kind of like when Harry and Dumbledore were there). The Cliffs of Moher: Our guide told us that there was an extreme weather advisory for that day, but we were still unprepared for what greeted us when we got off the bus. Even with the barriers on the walkway, I thought the wind was going to blow us right off the cliff. We had to stop a few times on the way to O’Brien’s Tower (the structure in the distance) to re-stablize. When we finally made it, we were literally holding on to the side of the building. Definitely an experience I will never forget!
