Life + Style + Travel

Over the weekend, Billy and I went to Union Market for lunch. Union Market is a food hall that also has shops for you to stock your pantry/refrigerator and decorate your home.  It is one of the most popular places in DC and for good reason. There is a lot of variety (48 vendors and counting) and the outdoor space is an easy place to get together when it’s nice out. The weather has been unseasonably warm for January the last few days so we were able to take advantage of the outdoor seating. I didn’t even need to wear a coat! I’ve never thought of myself as a person whose mood is affected much by the weather, but I’ve been in an extra good mood this week. Coincidence? Maybe not!

After Union Market, we decided that we wanted to keep enjoying the weather so we went down to the Navy Yard and stumbled upon an event at Yards Park with ice sculptures, games, and axe throwing. It definitely wasn’t how I saw the day going and it was awesome! I wore this super soft sweater dress the whole day. The colors are vibrant and the fit is oversized. I ordered one size down and it’s still plenty generous. I paired it with these pearl embellished sunglasses (still obsessed with pearl embellishments over here), which received an unexpectedly high number of compliments from strangers throughout the day!
