FLAIR FOR FLARE
This week has been pretty good so far! Work has been light, I took a terrarium making class (more on that later this week), and on Sunday, Billy and I went to see the National Symphony Orchestra! The performance was something that I’ve been looking forward to since moving to DC. This was the first concert of the 87th season and had two major guest performers, legendary cellist Yo-Yo Ma and Tony winning performer Cynthia Erivo. It was our first visit to the Kennedy Center and hopefully we’ll be lucky enough to attend more concerts this season!
Most of our time together is far less fancy than the orchestra. Billy’s schedule this year has been all over the place, so a lot of times our schedules only match up for a quick coffee run. Yes, we are married and live together, but ask any doctor and they will tell you that intern year is no joke! This was a casual look I wore recently when we went out for coffee (and donuts!). I’m still loving bell sleeves and they continue to be a strong choice for fall. Coffee dates are the perfect time to bust out your flared sleeves because there’s no food that they could accidentally get into! I’ve also been trying to branch out from my normal skinny jeans lately. These have been my favorite pair so far. They are thin so they’re good for transition weather and the cropped flare is stylish, but effortless – ideal for a low-key morning!
